More Than project.
A Re-Presentation.

We created BLK WINS to reclaim the stories we weren’t taught—and share them in a way that speaks to now.

About Us

SCRIB.png

BLK WINS is a traveling docu-series and nonprofit media project re-presenting American Black history—centered on Black youth, but made for everyone.

We uncover stories that textbooks left out and spotlight the triumphs, not just the tragedies. By going directly to the places where history happened and speaking with those who lived it—elders, community leaders, and historians—we’re bringing the truth forward with pride, clarity, and cultural relevance.

We don’t just want people to learn—we want them to connect. To feel proud. To feel seen.

Meet
The Team

We’re not historians. We’re not professors.

We’re creatives, storytellers, and researchers who saw a gap—and decided to fill it using the tools we already had. We built BLK WINS because we knew that Black youth needed more than the watered-down history we were given. And we knew others did too.

This is who we are:

Jazmyn Pratt

With a gift for connecting with people and a passion for truth-telling, she uses her platform to uncover narratives that help Black youth—and the broader community—see themselves more clearly in history. Jazmyn’s work bridges generations and mediums, always grounded in purpose and presence.

The Time is Now!

Why Now?

Our Process

In a time when Black history is being erased from classrooms and misrepresented in headlines, telling these stories has never been more urgent.

BLK WINS exists to protect, amplify, and pass down what was meant to be forgotten—because Black history isn’t a side note in America’s story. It is the story.

We hit the road and go straight to the source—capturing interviews on location with the people who’ve carried these stories forward.

Our episodes blend original research, oral histories, and rich visuals to create something that’s not just informative, but alive.

This is what history feels like when it’s told by the people who lived it.
